About
Why NodeStorm exists, and who's behind it.
I built NodeStorm to handle the repetitive stuff I didn't want to keep doing.
Maybe it'll do the same for you.
Why this exists
I dream about disappearing into nature and not looking at a screen again. To that end, I spend a lot of time looking at off-grid real estate listings and used sailboats.
I wanted to automate the search. Not "ask an LLM to find me a boat" (that hallucinates and gives me a different answer every time). I wanted: scan these specific sites, on a schedule, look at each listing and each image, decide if it qualifies, email me the ones that do. Same input, same logic, every time.
Once I had that, I realized the shape of it generalized. Most of the work I'd want to automate looks like this: a deterministic flow, with an LLM in the middle doing the squishy parts.
So I built it.
Who's behind it
Yohan Park. Software engineer, Chicago. Solo on this for now.
Have a weekly check you'd rather not do by hand? I'll build it with you.
What I believe
- LLMs hallucinate. They're not deterministic. Some work shouldn't be handed to them whole.
- But they're great at the messy parts: classifying, filtering, reading scraped HTML, summarizing a page.
- NodeStorm's bet: deterministic workflows that call LLMs only for the messy parts. Best of both.
Where I am
Bootstrapped. Early. Betting this turns out to be useful enough that someone pays for it.
Not in scope (yet)
- No SOC2, no SSO. Not soon either.
- Not an agent platform. There's LLM assistance. Not LLM autonomy.
